David grew up in a rural part of West Michigan, the son of a math teacher. His educational pursuits took him to Arizona State University, where he completed his undergraduate degree in 1997. The next phase of David’s legal career brought him to Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he achieved Dean’s List recognition for multiple semesters. In 2001, David graduated in the upper third of his law school class.
In his initial legal position, David worked as an assistant prosecutor for the government. He honed his trial skills and acquired extensive knowledge of strategy, never experiencing defeat in a felony trial. These attributes are now crucial as David practices law privately, safeguarding the rights of individuals facing criminal charges. His approach aims to maximize available defenses and opportunities, utilizing various litigation tactics to gain an edge. David is licensed to practice law in Michigan, Arizona, and the US District Court in West Michigan.
When he is not focused on criminal defense, David finds enjoyment in exercise, shooting, and outdoor activities. He also highly values spending time with his family.
