Criminal defense strategies can protect your freedom

When a Michigan prosecutor chooses to file criminal charges against a person, they must prove the elements of the crimes they allege the suspect committed. In most cases, a prosecutor must show that a criminal defendant committed some prohibited act and did so with the requisite mindset. They must provide evidence to make these proofs, and they must satisfy either the judge or jury on their case to an established degree of proof that the accused is guilty of the alleged crimes.

In other words, it takes a lot to prove that person committed a crime. When a person finds himself or herself on the accusatory end of a criminal allegation, they may not know exactly what they can do to prevent a conviction.

The simple answer is, fight! Fight the charges with facts and evidence that prevent the prosecutor from proving their case.

Though the answer is simple, putting together a criminal defense strategy can be incredibly tough. It can take time to review evidence to find witnesses and other data that refutes the claims made by prosecutors. It can take legal knowhow to construct defense arguments that are cogent, clear and convincing to the courts.

The good news is that criminal defendants do not have to approach their defense strategies on their own. David G. Moore, Attorney at Law, works in Kalamazoo and the surrounding community to provide people with legal support. He understands the immense stress and fear that may overwhelm a person unfamiliar with the criminal justice system and can provide them with knowledge and experience to support them through their cases. David G. Moore is available to take on new clients and prepared to welcome them into his criminal defense firm.
